I haven’t always been a designer. I started off life as a baby, 20 years later I landed a job as a reporter on the local paper. After one too many golden wedding stories I moved over to the subs desk and eventually onto design. So I’m one of the rare breed of designers that can actually spell too – sorry designers, only joking.
But newspaper pages were not my first taste of design. By that point I had already installed a 56k modem and was patiently uploading Flash and HTML.
Since then I basically haven’t stopped designing. I now work on the features desk at Media Wales in Cardiff and, as a freelancer, have designed a lot of websites, flyers, posters, T-shirts, bags, well, you get the idea. A lot of the work I do is in conjunction with www.madamadari.com which is a web company I run with my wife and
technical support (she’s a programmer) Mari,
